Since a little kid I've loved to build and create things. That passion, especially in construction, continued to grow as I used fun video games like Minecraft as a platform for my creativity. As I got into high school and then prepared for college, I however decided to pursue a degree in art instead. After serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I returned to college and realized that construction, design, and architecture were meant for me. Almost immediately after switching my degree to Virtual Design and Construction, I got a job creating 3D renderings and models for a custom home builder and have worked for and grown with them ever since. I also completed two internships in that time, one as a project manager and another as a drafter and renderer. In 2021 I met and married my sweet husband, Andrew. However, that year we were also in a terrible car accident, having been hit head on by a drunk driver. We were both severely injured and while in the hospital, I was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I would then spend 6 months in and out of the hospital for chemotherapy, check-ups, and various other medical appointments. With so much experience as a healthcare patient, it has become a goal and desire of mine to one day assist in building and designing more efficient and people centered hospitals for better patient and healthcare provider experiences. In that time, I hope to also continue to work in residential construction for I love the design process and working on custom projects for people, making their dream homes come true.
